These
liquid level sensors are designed to produce a pneumatic
output signal as the fluid level in an unpressurized
vessel rises or falls past a predetermined level. The
will accurately sense almost any fluid.
Models 59916-1 and -2 are identical except that their
function is reversed.
Model 59916-1 will produce an output
signal when sensing tube is blocked by a liquid. Model
59916-2 will produce an output signal when
the sensing tube is not blocked by a liquid. The output
signal generated at the “Signal out port,”
will be a three-way type signal in both cases.
When on, the output signal will be of the same pressure
as that supplied to the port marked (AIR INLET). When
off, the output will be connected to atmosphere through
an exhaust port within the enclosure. This insures a
quick and sharp on-off signal from the sensor package.
The supply pressure to the sensor can be any pressure
between 30 and 150 psig. However, where possible, pressures
between 50 and 100 psig are recommended for quickest
response and maximum life.
Burt Process offers a complete line of liquid level
sensors. Refer to pages 106-117.
