TYPICAL INSTALLATIONS
Marathon Pumps are designed to have
liquid end immersed in fluid being
pumped, assuring immediate pumping
on start-up and eliminating need for
priming. Inlet extension may be used
when pump is required to empty deep
tanks or for sump service (fig.2). |
 |
|
In-tank mounting.
Eliminates potential for spillage
of precious metals or corrosive
chemicals. Priming not required
when fluid level covers pump
discharge port. |
| Inlet extension
may be utilized when Marathon
Pumps are used as Sump Pump
or to empty or transfer from
deep tanks. Refer to adjacent
chart for maximum inlet extension. |
| Outside mounting
is often used where tank space
is limited, on fume scrubbers,
or to isolate pump and motor
from direct effect of corrosive
fumes in tank. Refer to Form
227 (included with pump) for
recommended plumbing methods. |
